Bir k.] After her husband died, Margaret and her children,
except John, moved to Burke Co., N.C. Three of the sons,
Elisha, Zebulon and Bendent went into Bu ncome County and were
among the first settlers of Ashville. The latter two a re said
to have owned the frirst store there. This was about 1790-95.
Margaret married William Morris Baird, son of John Baird and Avis Browne, on 1 Dec 1758 in Monmouth Co., New Jersey. (William Morris Baird was born in 1730 in Topenemus, Monmouth Co., New Jersey and died on 1 Dec 1794 in Morris County, New Jersey.)
