Edward was born in Denig, Wales and arrived in Jamestown, Virgi nia in 1618 aboard the "Mary Gould" from London / South Hampton.
He was listed in the 1624 muster as a planter. His Son Rodger was one o f the Leader's of Bacon's Rebellion. Rodger was exiled from Jamestown Col ony,. after the execution of Bacon, in 1676. He movednorth up to Chesape ake Bay.
An alternate version of this story has him immigrating in 1620 on the Bon a Nova.
Edward married Anne Boteler, daughter of William Boteler and Anne Wilson. (Anne Boteler was born on 20 Jan 1593 in Watton On Stone, Hetford, England and died in 1670 in Elizabeth City, VA.)
