Originality – The thing that all of us as artists are looking for and is so important in finding ones creativity. I feel that my strength is in my need to create and my true love of the process. It drives me to pursue my passion and make it my life. This is precisely the reason I continue to make works and plan on making much more. I have worked hard to bring my passion for the arts to fruition and I relish the idea of continuing my work far into the future. I have been fortunate to work in places around the world. There are images in my portfolio from as close to home as NY, KY, NC, and more – but also as far from home as Germany, Belize, Hungary, Egypt, and more. My work grows directly due to this exposure to many different cultures and ideas. My direction was known to me at a young age. I think I have always known art would be an important part of my life. I attended private boarding school as a teenager at the Asheville School in North Carolina and later graduated from UNCC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a focus in the Time Arts, in addition to a minor in Art History. I work as a photographer and a fine artist, bringing a different flair to my photo work with my clients and elements of photography to my art work. My art has hung on walls from Asheville, NC to Germany and I am excited to work with my clients to bring my creations into their home.

My work is a process using multiple different techniques. For most of my work I first create my paper that will become the base or foundation. I then often print on this paper in small sections and then hand sew them together to create the full image and canvas. I then go in with paint, ink, embroidery and other media to complete the final product. Many of my pieces also prominently feature hand cut stencil art heavily inspired by street art. Including that textural and third dimensional element is important to me and seen throughout my work.
