Kicked to death by his son's who were angry that he remarried amd gave property to the new wife.
Pleasant Miles Holloway was born May 27, 1843 to John B. Holloway and Dorcas Beck Holloway. He married Gemina Pate on December 4, 1859 in Carroll County, Georgia. He enlisted in the CSA at Carrollton, Carroll County, GA in Phillips's Georgia Legion, by 1864 he a was promoted to Corporal he was wounded at Winchester Valley Virginia driving an ordnance wagon. He recovered from his injury and foughtuntil the end of the war, he was discharged on Apr 26, 1865, he was paroled on May 1, 1865 in North Carolina, he died on Jun 9, 1919.
